It was such a nice evening the other night that Eric and I decided to take a walk along the beach and take a few photos of the amazing sunset. These photos don't do it justice but it was such a beautiful evening. The photo below includes the old pier that burned down quite a few years back. At first I thought it was really creepy but it's grown on me and it's really quite iconic of Brighton. There are a lot of art pieces of it.
They are actually working on a new pier with a tall viewpoint that is supposed to be taller than the London Eye. The burned pier will be torn down. Who knows when the new structure will be finished but it probably will be a while. They take their pretty time with building. The billboard advertising it says it's supposed to be finished Fall 2009. But there is absolutely no sign of building. Maybe there is some sort of regulations that are preventing it right now.
