The Trevi Fountain

The Fontana di Trevi is probably my most favourite place in Rome. It's so romantic and full of excitement and wishes.
We did our tourist duty and tossed a few coins in the fountain. Apparently the legend is true because I returned!
I wondered how much money is tossed into the fountain each year so I did a Wikipedia. It's estimated that 3,000 Euros are thrown in EACH DAY! That's a lot of change. Apparently it goes towards feeling the homeless in Rome. I bet they're eating pretty well!
My favourite night in Rome was after a delicious dinner at the Hostaria Costanza and spending the late evening at the Fountain. There were not as many people as during the day and no annoying little men trying to sell their crap. It was perfect.
A perfect end to a perfect day.
