One Year

One year today we left our home.
We left our family

Our relatives

Our friends

The people we love.
We left our jobs, our home, and the comforts of familiarity to a complete unknown. It was a gamble and a chance we knew we had to take.

Our itch led us here. To the country of England. Home of the queen, fish 'n chips, rain, and new accents.
Our new home became Brighton. Known as a holiday resort town and the sunniest place in England.

The beaches are rocky,

but the sunsets are amazing.

We've traveled, been cultured, our brains full of new knowledge and history.

We've had a few visits from family and friends (but welcome more!)
We've missed out on new births of friends and family (but we'll see the kiddos soon and I can't wait!)
We've mourned the loss of a grandfather and family pets without you.
And missed many celebrations of weddings, birthdays and holidays.
But despite all that we've missed
We wouldn't change our experience for anything.
Some days are hard but other days are fantastic.
We've made wonderful new friends
And cherish the last months we have left.

Thank you to all for your support and friendship because without you it just wouldn't be much fun.

(disclaimer: if your picture did or did not make it on this post please forgive me. I realised that amongst the thousands of photos I have, there are many more that I do not have. It doesn't mean we love you any more or less. We love you all the same!)
