The girls and I (Kat and Rebecca) attempted to make strawberry jam and marmalade for an upcoming charity festival. The result? Set strawberry jam with the bits floated to the top and runny marmalade. We're not good at this homemaking stuff. Kat asked her dear neighbour what we were doing wrong. Um, everything. Oh, well. It tastes delicious! Who wants to buy a jar?!

The next couple days later Eric and I decided to be tourists in our own town. We decided to tour the Royal Pavilion.

Yes, the sumo wrestler below is a common occurrence. You would be surprised what people decided to wear around here!

The Pavilion was originally built for King George IV when he was Prince of Wales as his seaside retreat. It became a discrete place for him and his mistress, Maria Fitzherbert to frolic in there ways.

We weren't allowed to take photographs but the interiors are decorated in Chinese with an Indian architecture on the outside. The most impressive was the dining hall. The chandelier was huge with a fire-breathing dragon holding it from the top of the dome. Let's just say, it was impressive. Highly worth a visit.
