They Came, They Saw, We Conquered

Oh how fun it was to see some people from our 'other' life! And even better that it was two of our most favorite people.
Mom and dad Hansen paid us a visit and we had a whirlwind tour of Brighton, London and a minute portion of the countryside.
We gave them a quick walking tour of North Laine during Eric's lunch break and a tour of The Lanes in the evening. Unfortunately by that time all of the shops were closed but it still gave them a feel what it is like.
As we were walking around Kathy stopped and said "I've been here before! I've been in this church!" When she was a teenager she went on a tour around England and realized they came through Brighton. She had her picture taken in front of this church when she was younger and so we thought we should get one now. What are the odds? :)
I had to show them the cupcakery but it was closed by the time we got around to going over.
We ended the night by the English tradition of going to the pub. We took them to The Black Lion which serves up some killer dishes. Lynn ordered the steak and got harassed by Kathy the rest of the trip for it.
The next day we went to Stonehenge and a castle but that deserves a post all on its own so we'll be moving on to our whirlwind tour of London. If you blink you'll miss it.
We stayed at the lovely Hilton and took the tube to Victoria Station to pick up our dear friend, Benjamin Ivar Evjen.
Morning mom and dad! You're in London! On the tube!
We had it planned out that we would meet Ben in front of the M&S in Victoria station at a specified hour. We waited, and waited and waited. Luckily for us we had smart Kathy with us and she suggested maybe there is another M&S in the station. Turns out there was and low and behold we found our Ben, waiting there patiently for his owners to collect him.
Sorry Ben for making you wait an extra hour and half.
But moving on. We have a lot to see!
We went to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard.
'Reunited and it feels so gooood'
We stopped for lunch and Ben was so nackered from his long flight he took a nap right there in the pub.
We headed on over to see St. Pauls and spent some time in the Tate Modern.
It was pouring rain but we just had to get a photo of Ben in front of Big Ben.
Everyone might as well join in the fun!
There just wasn't enough time to see everything before mom and dad had to go back the next morning.
Thanks for coming to visit us! We love and miss you!
